"Lifetime" license expired?

The Tool is free for life if you purchase it once only and install on your website. It's the support and free upgrades which is for a limited period of time.

If the tool is installed on your website and is activated you won't require to reactivate it ever again. But you cannot do new installations once the subscription is expired. However, please share your backend & FTP login credentials, we'll reactivate it for you

I bought the standard version of the VQuiz earlier this year and downloaded it to my computer, but I I haven't installed it to my Joomla website until now. I was able to install the component, but unable to use it because it is asking for my user name and password for a subscription that expired in July. In the purchase page it says that the licence doesn't expire. Only the technical support. How come I paid for a "lifetime license" and can't use the program? Can you please help me with this issue? Thanks.
