Yes, there is a message button in main settings tab on Add/Edit Quiz page, If you click on this button, it will open a popup where you can set different messages.

Will there although be the option to show different messages depending on user success?
e.g. different message for passed and failed?

Hi,
Right now It's not. However, vQuiz 2.9.0 is going to be launched within a couple of months before the year-end. The feature has already been implemented in this version.
