Importing passwords was created by Troy Mumm
Doing a user import and have tried both putting the password in CSV and presetting it in the profile, and in both cases does not seem to work. Is there something special that needs to happen with password fields?

Hello,
Is the password encrypted or in plain text in both the cases ( CSV file and in Profile )?

Plain text in both. Importing new users, not transferring from another site, so I don't have them encrypted. Just want to set a default password and then set Force Password Reset.

In case of plain text, You need to make the following change in profile settings.
For Password field in Profile settings do not choose string rather choose encryption and then BCRYPT.
After making the above change save the Profile and trying importing your users.
