Hello,
Please check the points below, Hopefully it would resolve the issue. Responded to your email as well.
1. First of all check #__content table in PHPMyAdmin or Quick view of vData and find if there are few articles already created which are not showing up in Articles view in backend. If there are you first need to delete these.
2. To import articles you then need to import associated categories and users ( authors )
3. In Article import profile settings choose skip for article ID (primary key) and select asset_id as Asset Reference to content table of com_content component.
If you still find some issues, then we would require admin access which is possible only if you upload your site on a development server.
