Category import failed

1. Please check the Log
2. You can apply filters in the Profile settings to exclude a particular article/category or as per your requirements.

Please can you point me to the documentation that explains:

1. How to determine which articles or categories are causing an import to fail when the following error occurs:

"Another article/category with the same parent category has the same alias (remember it may be a trashed item)."

2. How to exclude a particular article/category from the export

Hello

I have the same problem :

I just buy your component vData - Data Management Tool. I install it on joomla 2.5 and joomla 3.5. I export manus, articles and categories as xml files. But i can't import on joomla 3.5, error : can import, another item as the same id, Import Failed
So i try to delete all categories and articles, clean the trash but the import failed again.

Please ignore the root category during export category.

Hi,

I have a clean installation of Joomla and when I import the categories from another site it fails with:
"Another category with the same parent category has the same alias (remember it may be a trashed item)."

I have removed all categories, can you advice?
