Error importing menus was created by Auke van Nimwegen
Hi,
I want to use your tool for migrating a whole site Joomla 3.x site to a new one.
I started with the menus and got the attached error message.
Is there a step by step description on how to migrate a complete site?
Regards,
Auke

Hi,
Menu table you are trying to migrate also contains Administrator Menus. You need to skip these Menus before exporting and importing to the new site. You can skip these Menus by applying Filters. client_id = 0 and id <> 1. And Please skip ID variable. All the Menus will be assigned a new ID.

Sorry to see this is a lot less user friendly that I thought it would be.
Is there a clear manual on how to do this all? Where do I apply a filter if I use your standard 'Export menu' option?
Your website says we can easily migrate extensions, where is the manual on how to do this?

Yes I did and there is no clear instruction how to migrate a site, while on the forum you claim this is possible.
It seems I need to learn about the database structure of Joomla in order to know how to export things.
Issues are for instance what to export first, I already noticed that I need users, groups and access levels before I can do anything with menu's and articles. Do group and user IDs need to correspond?
These are all issues that a migration tools should address, else I can simply migrate database tables directly from SQL.
Still I don't know where to configure the items you have mentioned below to filter out the administrative menus. Where do I apply these filters? If I choose Export menu's I see no option to filter, please explain.
Again, this is a basic issue that should be clearly addressed in your documentation.
Best regards,
Auke

Hi Auke,
We have several predefined profiles, you just need to search the profile as per your requirement in the Profile field. Please check the Profile field when you create/edit any profile. Here is the screenshot: www.wdmtech.com/images/vdata/profile-edit-full.jpg
However you please do not bother, We are here to help. Please share your back end login credentials via Contact us form, We'll look into the profiles you created and let us know about the changes we make in profile settings. Please also let us know the table names you want to migrate?
