importing using XML

Hi there.
I am trying to import categories:
profile: import joomla categories
data source format: xml
data source: uploaded xml file
enterpath: it has local server

Hit the continue:
click the import: receive this>

PLZ_SELECT_ROOT_TAG
Import Failed
Select root tag: Not sure what to do from here but I put in root and select field I added child
error is:

Import abort with exception
Reinitiate Import/Export


Please advise...

Trying to import articles using xml and it's showing idling now for 10 minutes...never made it to the next page.

Hi,
Select Root Tag means you need to choose the tag which contains all the items to be imported. And the last error message comes up if you click import button multiple times. Please check this thread: www.wdmtech.com/forum/vdata/1306-data-su...-more-to-import#5475

Can you please send me a screenshot of the proper setting to upload the category xml. What I am doing is clearly not working.

After Choosing Item you do not need to choose Title, you need to choose load child.

Ok. Tried per instructions. Still error message...please advise...
