Can vData be used to sync Databases from a localhost to a live server?

I'm new to Joomla. My job uses it. I'm a wordpress guy. I know of extensions for WP that allow localhost dev servers to sync directly with a remote live/staging server. Is that possible with this tool, or does it just export databases that you can then import manually?
