Update To vData 2.9.13 Fails was created by John Garrett
Hello, I'm trying to update to Joomla 3.8, but my current version of vData (2.9.12) causes the update to fail with the "Error: 0 Call to undefined method JAdminCssMenu::addChild()" issue.
I have confirmed this by uninstalling vData and running the update on my staging server.
It would seem the fix for this is in the latest vData update, but now I can't install that either.
When I try, using the "Upload Package File" option, I get this error:
My permissions appear to be correct per Joomla standards. 644 on files and 755 on directories.
I could just uninstall and the re-install after upgrading (which I've confirmed works), but I have quite a few import and export profiles that I don't want to lose. As far as I can tell I can't export those separately from the extension.
Is there anything else I should try to get this to work?

Component Update: Failed to copy site files.
Package Update: There was an error installing an extension: com_vdata.zip
