Hello,
If you are able to connect to Remote Database using any third party Database client like heidisql then there is some issue with vData. In this case Please share your backend & FTP login credentials along with the remote database login details via Contact us form, We'll look into it. But if It's not connecting with heidisql as well, then Please contact your Hosting support team to get the issue resolved.

Could not connect to MySQL was created by Jeff Honeyager
I have tried connecting to multiple different databases on multiple different servers (hosting providers).
And I always get, "Could not connect to MySQL"
And when it doesn't connect, I have to re-enter all the information - it doesn't save it on the form - very annoying.
What do I do now?
Does anyone know of a way to migrate articles from a J! 2.5.x to a J! 3.6.5 site?
