so, essentially, if I create 100 charts, I have to input the same server credentials 100 times?

Hello,
You are required to enter the external Database details at the time of chart creation only. There is no other way to save the Database login credentials.

How do I save the external database that I am using for charts?
I have to put all the details every time I create a chart, which is a waste of time.
