One-time verification doesn't work after install

I am having the same issue with vmap- I logged in once and the started working then it came back to login screen for one-time verification. Now won't verify. Just keeps showing login screen.

I have just received the e-mail with a modified package. It resolved the issue.
The joomla is on VirtualBox (lubuntu), the host computer is on company LAN, however both the host and the virtualbox guest have internet access.
