Problems with article slider

Hello,

I installed the Article Slider extension and I am having a bit of a hard time to make it work. After setting it up, it doesn't seem to have a constant behavior. According to the article content, the layout changes.

As you can see in the picture I attached, when I added a picture to the article, the title moved under the thumbnail which occupied a low position inside the slide. Also the text became white on a black background and the "read more..." text changed too. The border of the slide looks weird too.

Also, is there a way to include the date in which the article was published into the slide ?

I also noticed that, when I insert other modules or videos inside the article, things get even worse. Is there a way to get the extension to retrieve only text and ignore other modules and videos when creating a slide ?
