User Export / Import

Just wondering...

We want to export Joomla and K2 users from a Joomla 2.5 installation to a Joomla 3.1.5 installation.

Do we have to export both user tables and then import them??? Or if we import the Joomla Users they will populate K2 User tables?

Hi,

You've to export/import both the tables. For this you've to create two profiles for both the tables. Right now there is only one custom plugin comes installed with HexData by default which is used to import/export any kind of data from any table.

However we are working on some Component specific plugins, Here are few plugins which are going to release one after another very soon
1. Joomla Articles
2. K2
3. Virtuemart

The custom plugin which you get with HexData by default is capable of importing/exporting data from any component from any table.

But my question is. If I import both user tables (UserManager & K2Users) they will not be duplicated?

No it won't, When you'll import users in k2Users it won't affect the users table in any way
