Unfortunately my recently purchased plg_vmcustom_files plugin does not work. Please help.

Given:
Joomla 2.5.27
Virtuemart: 2.6.0a
your plg_vmcustom_files.zip

1. The plugin is detected. HAve installed it due to your instructions.
2. I can choose a file in admin custom fields of a product, the label is visible in the product specs in frontend, but...
3. the path shows .../media/plg_vmcustom_files/new_file ???
It is not possible to download the file
What´s wrong with it?
