That server is joomla demo server (LAUNCH TEST DRIVE button at demo.joomla.org/
For 90 minute they let you do what you want and needs no registration.

My procedure was:
- open demo backend site
- install Virutemart
- install your plugin
- install a file manager like THIS
- enable your plugin
- create your custom field
- create sample product with your custom field
- create a menu item for a single product
